The Lgfc is committed to ensure effective financial capacity for LGs for improved service delivery, Local Economic Development and improved quality of life. This is to be attained through different strategies parallel to core interventions of the NRM manifesto 2021-2026.

Local Government Finance Commission

The mandate of LGFC to have oversight on all fiscal decentralization matters in the country and advise Government, local governments and other stakeholders on appropriate frameworks to achieve the intended objectives of Uganda’s decentralisation policy implementation.
